Keeping dealer onboarding separate from approval
Submitting an application, completing onboarding and receiving permission to operate are different events.
A practical approach
Give each event its own status and communication. Tell the applicant what is still being reviewed and avoid issuing operational access before the required approvals are complete. A complete form should not silently become an accepted partnership. Confirm the final responsibilities and commercial terms through the designated approval process.
Put it into practice
- Use distinct statuses
- Explain outstanding review steps
- Gate operational access
General workflow guidance. Confirm current responsibilities, availability and terms with the appropriate team. This article is not a project-specific technical assessment or a promise of compensation.
