Keeping territory boundaries understandable
A boundary should be clear enough that reps can apply it during actual field work.
A practical approach
Use recognizable map context and provide a way to check uncertain addresses. Explain how shared edges or overlapping assignments are handled. Review the boundary after a team change instead of assuming everyone remembers the old arrangement. Keep the approved version in the system so screenshots do not become competing sources of truth.
Put it into practice
- Clarify uncertain addresses
- Define overlap handling
- Use the approved map version
