Planning travel between appointments
Travel planning should leave room for preparation and ordinary uncertainty rather than assume every transition is instantaneous.
A practical approach
Review appointment locations together and identify tight transitions before confirming more work. Account for the time needed to park, review notes and contact the customer if plans change. If the route becomes unrealistic, coordinate a correction early. Do not silently shorten the customer’s appointment to recover an overfilled schedule.
Put it into practice
- Review transitions together
- Include preparation time
- Correct conflicts early
