Reducing map clutter for field work
A useful field map shows the information needed for the immediate decision.
A practical approach
Choose a small set of visible layers, such as assigned territory and customer dispositions. Open detail only when it changes the next action. Keep important warnings available without covering every property with competing markers. Review the view on the device the rep actually uses so the map remains readable during normal field activity.
Put it into practice
- Prioritize immediate decisions
- Limit competing layers
- Keep important warnings accessible
