Preparing for a supervised field ride-along
A ride-along is more useful when the observer knows which behavior to watch.
A practical approach
Choose a specific focus, such as permission-based openings, discovery or note quality. Agree on when feedback will happen so it does not interrupt the homeowner unnecessarily. After a conversation, compare what each person heard and what was recorded. Finish with one practice task rather than a long list of unrelated corrections.
Put it into practice
- Choose an observation focus
- Agree on feedback timing
- Set one practice task
