Turning field objections into useful records
An objection is useful context when it captures the customer’s actual concern rather than a canned category alone.
A practical approach
Record the specific issue and whether it was resolved, deferred or left unanswered. Distinguish a question about cost from a request not to be contacted. Share the context with the next owner so they can prepare an appropriate response. Do not treat every concern as permission to continue selling after the customer has declined.
Put it into practice
- Capture the specific concern
- Record its resolution status
- Respect the contact decision
